It's not looking good. She said the knee had been in a lot of pain prior to her collapsing, and she finally went down. They sent her to the doc, who said it's not her fault, she had no way of knowing that her knee just wouldn't be able to stand up to the rigors of basic and he doesn't feel like she'll be able to do it. Said if this wasn't an injury she'd already had they'd do everything they could to keep her, but considering she's already had a problem with this knee he thinks it's chronic and won't be fixed. I have a feeling that, in the long run, things will work out for the best, though. Try to stay positive, man. You never know what's around the corner.
