I get the same feeling about nice watches as I do about nice cars and high quality firearms. There is just something viscerally desirable about those things.

Because, other than telling time and date, it serves no purpose. I have a smartphone that does that for me. I seriously do not know a single person who wears a watch, or has worn a watch in the last 5 years.

Loved them when I was growing up, though. Had 3 Timex from 1977-1990.
