Oh, I support their ability to choose to play sports. I don't think anyone should really stop them from going down to the park to join a pickup game or do whatever else they want. But I don't give him the right to decide to go back into a football game for which he is being paid to do what the team tells him to do. If the team wants to sit him and not risk further injury to their player--I don't even see how you can argue with that.

What do you think of boxing referees who stop the fight when the guy is having is head beaten in and his eyes are rolling around? Ask the fighter if he wants to continue?
