The sweet taste of Manning tears

How will you be celebrating the defeat of Peyton Manning and those jackass Donkeys?

Will you be signing up on a Broncos forum to talk shit after they lose to the Seahawks? Will you call a Donk fan you know, and rub it in their face that noodle neck lost it for them? I personally plan to walk up to a Donk fan in the bar after the loss, and open hand slap him in the face.

Please discuss.

It's the Super Bowl so anything can happen, but I tend to favor the Broncos in this game. Sherman will take D Thomas out of the game but then they still have Julius Thomas, Decker, and Welker. Not to mention Moreno out of the backfield.

Seattles defense is not the same outside of their stadium, plus Wilson is not a great qb yet.

I think it will be close with Denver winning at the end.
Pretty much the way I see it too.

Hinting that he'd consider it? Meh, sounds like something a reporter says so they'll have something to fill airtime.

I don't buy it for a second either.

He's currently finishing the greatest season ever by a qb. So clearly he should hang em up.

He's had two nearly career threatening injuries. Why risk it when there's nothing left to gain. He'll have won rings with two different teams and rewritten the record books in the process.

Hopefully Fivehead retires in shame after throwing yet another game-losing pick-six in the Super Bowl. We're all sick of him. And hopefully Brady retires soon after him.

Some of these guys just report what the other reporter said.

He may retire, I have no insider info. I'm just saying that it is an easy story for the ESPN guys or whoever to fill airtime with and all they have to do is say he's dropped "hints" that he'd "consider" it. Those so-called "hints" could actually be absolutely nothing.

What does he have to gain? A shitload of money, more records (all-time passing yards, TDs), another SB.

Are there any passing records he does not own? I have no idea?

A lot of these guys fear the end. Not saying Peyton does, but many pros work so hard to get to and stay on top, that they don't know what they would do without that structure and discipline. T.O comes to mind as someone like that.

I just don't see him retiring while he's still so dominant. I watched him for many years as a Colts fan and I honestly believe he's NEVER been better than he is right now.

He risked it every time he's ever stepped on the football field. How is it any different now?

Of course, he does have young children, so that may factor in.

I don't know, I just don't see it.

Career TDs he would easily get next year. Career passing yards he would need next year and 1 more year.

I'd assume there's some of the more obscure records he doesn't have yet. Most 300 yard games? 400 yard games? I don't know about those.

His neck is a wildcard of course, but you only get one chance at this career. I don't think these guys hang it up until they are good and ready to do so (or are forced to). There's really no coming back, so they have to be damn sure they're ready or it will eat at them that they still had something in the tank.

Maybe it's happened, but I just con't remember anyone who wasn't already planning to retire, suddenly retire after winning so they could "go out on top." I think 'going out on top' is something fans make more of than the players.
