Football Should the Texans have drafted Bortles instead of Clowney?

2014 - Bortles (?)
2013 - (none)
2012 - Luck, Wilson, maybe Foles
2011 - Newton, Dalton
2010 - Bradford
2009 - Stafford
2008 - Ryan, Flacco
2007 - (none)
2006 - Cutler
2005 - Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers

So in the last 10 drafts we have about 13 guys out of a total of 54 QBs drafted in the first 3 rounds who have stuck around or look like they will be able to stick around as starters.

It's no wonder a third of the league is QB-poor, because history tells us there is usually about 1 guy in each draft who will make it. Injuries or just not being good enough will claim the rest.

It's a sucker bet, but unless you convert one you can't realistically expect to win anything.
