I think that some of you guys are forgetting that the Chiefs will have a 90 man roster through mid-August. There's no harm in signing vet minimum contracts because they don't count against the cap until the season begins and even so, it can be as low as 60%, not 100%. Depending on service, a $1 million dollar contract only counts around $600k towards the cap. Plus, injuries can and will happen. It's better to have guys signed that have played in the system as depth. |
