I would rather watch the Chiefs in Las Vegas than in Oakland, because I think there would be less chance of getting killed by their scumbag fans.

Agreed.

That said, the opposing crowd will be the biggest factor against the Raiders in Vegas, as it's a transient town and close enough to other cities like LA, Phoenix, SF and San Diego in which to drive.

The fact that it's in Vegas will make it much more appealing to fans of the other 31 teams to turn it into a party weekend.

In the end, even though the Raiders will be playing in a state-of-the-art, amazing stadium, it probably hurts them more than helps them.

Yup. Another reason it would be good for the Chiefs, especially if they get more KC fans for the away game against the Raiders.

Everybody wins (including the Raiders' owner with a full stadium) except the Raiders on the field (and they're used to that).

I agree, although historically in both LA and Oakland they have had trouble filling their stadium. They use tarps to cover entire sections of seats so they don't have to count them. If they fill the stadium in Vegas they may not care if it is fans filling it or tourists as long as it is full.

Well, this is actually not exactly true.

While the Raiders certainly covered a minimum of 30,000 seats while playing at the Coliseum, that particulart stadium holds more than 100,000 people. So without covering the seats, there was no way to ensure that the Blackout Rule was lifted.

Unfortunately for the Raiders, the same thing has been applied since their return to Oakland.

When the Rams played in the Coliseum, they sold out for decades and they're sold out this year (and likely for the foreseeable future). Anaheim is a completely different city and county and most die hard LA Rams fans didn't want to spend their Sundays in 6 hours of traffic. I've had it take 2.5-3 hours just to get to Disneyland on the weekends when during the week, it's only about a 30 minute drive.

They still cover seats in Oakland.
