I used to get calls, and I would say something like "yeah, hang on. let me get my credit card".

then just walk away and go about my evening. I wonder how long they've stayed on the phone before.

Last time I drove to the beer store and came back and they were still on hold. After finally lowering the boom on them they told me the same shit about knocking down the towers and they were the son of Osama Bin Laden. Isaid , oh you mean that mother ****er with a hole in his face laying in the bottom of the ocean ! He sais, you are a son of bitch and hung up on me.
