He tested positive. When he tested positive, he was out for a mandatory 10 days. The science behind that is people can still transmit the virus to others even though they're not testing positive. Also, the protocol is deliberately puntative when it comes to dealing with unvaccinated players to encourage them to get vaccinated.

Does it really matter? Washington lost 21 fully vaccinated players. It spread through the whole vaxxed team. A few people with runny noses spread the disease to half the team.

That's a myth. People that spread the virus have symptoms (runny nose, cough). They're the primary spreaders of the disease.
