Denver kept burrow in check. I don’t know their game plan but I’d have to think they blitzed a lot. Also worth noting that we’d had tremendous success blitzing where other defenses are playing safe. Which means spags has bucked the trend and succeeded where other defenses have not.

We gotta be cautious of burrow is a blitz killer. Or else we consider a scheme like vs Dak who is also a blitz killer. But feel like we can’t be scared to blitz either.

I said in my initial post that most Bengals fans didn’t think the Bengals would beat the Chiefs. However for me I felt good about the matchup of Burrow vs the Chiefs defense even though your defense had been playing really good. I thought we had a punchers chance. My reasoning was the aggressive nature in which the Chiefs play. The press coverage I thought would work to the Bengals advantage and it did. The Bengals Oline is not good and you could get pressure with just your front 4. They are a very average run blocking team also. Just look at the Bengals short yardage win rate and you can see that. As mentioned above Burrow is very good against the Blitz even with a subpar Oline and yes his receivers abilities are part of that. I am still scratching my head on about that 3rd & 27 play.
