I think it will be 2 or 3 seasons before we're back in the Super Bowl. We'll be competitive, but as long as we have Spags and a porous defense it really doesn't matter how good the offense is... We have so many positions that need upgrades I just don't see this as a few changes in the off season and then we're off to the Super Bowl.

They could very well turn into the Seahawks. The biggest problem is that they blew it in 2018. Worst defense in the league with Mahomes on his rookie deal. He was as cheap as it gets back then and KC had a terrible defense. The defense over the last 2 years hasn’t looked great either. Was it even all that good in 2019? I don’t think so. The offense has been carrying the team for 4 years.

The run with current players needs to be over. Coaches need to change as well. We need new ideas and new players especially at WR. Pringle and Drob need to be upgraded with real WRs. Not ST guys.

This one hurts, for sure.

We have an elite QB in his prime. Re-load and we'll be back in the hunt. The defense was Jekyll and Hyde all year; time to cut dead weight. Offense needs upgrades at WR, RB, and RT. Some new blood on the coaching staff would probably be a good idea. The window will remain wide open for many years to come.

While I like to be optimistic due to Mahomes, I think next year is going to be a stinker. I think we will regress.

We are going to have a lot of turnover on D. I think this team will look for a few new leaders on D.

This loss was uglier than the Colts loss IMHO because we have Mahomes not Smith yet we stood at 21-10 and and 1st and goal down at the 5 at the end of the first half and we blew it.

Scoring a TD there and getting the ball right back may have sealed the game early in the 3rd. Instead we gave them life being down only 11 as GREAT as we played and as poorly on Offense as they did.

Gonna be a whole lot of soul searching this off season.

Mahomes got so gun shy and made so many bad decisions it was shocking.

I was never mad the entire game.

I think I saw this coming......

The team had a losing record after 7 weeks this season. They won plenty of games this season by razor thin margins. It would not be that shocking if they don’t make the playoffs next season. Parity in the NFL is pretty legit these days.

Yep. Veach restructured and shoved a hell of a lot of money into these next couple seasons. It's going to be time to pay the bill soon and in turn it's going to put a serious hurting on the ability to maintain a contender.

- Andy/Eric need to recognize the hot hand: Mckinnon should have got all the RB snaps, and more runs on 2nd and short needed to be called. The Bengals front was getting gashed by McKinnon but Alex Smithian pass plays is what was resorted to.
- Coach the situations: who the **** is in Pat’s ear pre-snap? He can’t take so many sacks running around making shit up. He could have run for positive yards on some plays but insists on school yard antics. Throw it away, live to play another down instead of losing field position. That 13 seconds before half was atrocious. Dial up picks/rubs/crossers. No sideways throws.
- Joe Thuney is a better tackle than Brown. No business paying this guy big $. Maybe Schwartz comes back on a 1 year to solidify the right side.

- This one stings. Chiefs luck has run its course. Too many good qbs in the AFC to expect 1st/2nd place seeds moving forward. Chiefs have a murderer’s row schedule again. Cut the dead, aging weight. Draft defense and make smart FA adds on offense. And Andy needs to soul search regarding 2nd half adjustments and game management. Sadly, this has been said too often.
This was a colossal failure. No other way to put it. Mahomes owns a lot of this too. He is human after all…

What? I don't think that's true.

There will be some reshuffling and letting some high paid guys go, but honestly, the higher paid guys on this defense underperform anyway, so getting rid of...say...Frank Clark doesn't hurt anyway.

Yeah, I'd say our cap situation is near average. Not great, but not horrible either.

The key will be hitting on the draft. If you can't do that, we take a step back. We had a couple of rough drafts, to dig out of. Last year's draft looks good. We need to string 1-2 more good ones together and start to replace some key pieces.

A defensive line that can actually sack a QB. Jones is very inconsistent from game to game and Clark is only out there because he's overpaid. They need a new edge rusher next year. The draft is supposed to be flush with them.
