Almost solely a result of his recent injury history. He could have got a 3yr deal but hes betting on himself to be productive and not injured.

I don’t know if Kirk is a good example. The internet broke when he got that deal…. It’s almost like saying there’s a reason Watson got his fully guaranteed deal compared to other qbs.

Juju got a 1 year deal because no one is ready to pay him big “yet”. It’s the same reason the franchise tag exists. Those are essentially one year deals where the following year a team pays big for said tagged player if the home team doesn’t buy in..

1 year deal for 33 year old players is a different story, but as it’s already been pointed out dude is 25.
