That forum is an absolute cesspool. Some of the worst "football discussion" on the internet.

It's weird, because almost everyone who has attended games in KC or hung out with Chiefs fans says they're welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, etc.

Whatever the case may be, the absolute worst of the Chiefs fan base seem to gather on Chiefs Planet. I cannot stress what a garbage den that place is.
That translates to "Went to CP to talk shit and immediately got destroyed."

And i don't have to see every pass Allen has made this season to see how many could've been intercepted; I have you fine people for that tedious job.

What I can surmise from the 44 years i have watched the NFL is that all QBs throw some bad balls, some more than others. But these two QBs are at the top of the food chain, with similar styles, so I feel i can safely say that they're about equal when it comes to ball security, regardless of how many actual INTs both have at this exact moment.
Allen's fumbled four times this year. Mahomes once.

A few years ago, Allen had 14 fumbles in a season. Almost twice as many as Mahomes has ever had.

Yeah, they're a bunch of shitposters who brought over like 20 table smashing trolls before the AFCCG a couple years ago... most of them seem the type to not remember making it to their seat because they're so smashed prior to kickoff, just to regurgitate the hot takes they hear on ESPN talk shows.

More casual and less knowledgeable than the average reddit football "fan" and seems like the vast majority weren't around 30 years ago (a few are and actually show a bit humility).

All great QB’s have lots of dropped INT’s and “almost” interceptions.

The great ones get away with it a lot.

Mahomes and Allen get away with it and that’s okay.

Good gravy. I'm talking about this year. ONLY.

I've already referenced Allen's past issues with turnovers, For pity's sake. Try to keep up.

On paper, it looks this way to me:

BUF has the advantage at WR, no question. I think they might have that advantage for the rest of the season, barring any huge pick ups by the Chiefs down the road.

Travis Kelce. 'Nuff said on TEs.

OL goes to the Chiefs if Trey plays.

And they have the better defense this week. This should even up later in the season, but right now they have the tighter secondary and the better DL. Plus, KC will be missing a couple starters for this meeting.

At QB it's still advantage KC, but the margin is definitely shrinking. It's definitely not the huge gulf between the two it was a couple seasons ago. Allen has morphed into the best QB in the NFL not named Mahomes.

ST I give to the Chiefs, but I doubt STs are going to dictate much in this game, so call it a wash, or a very slight advantage KC.

Running game is probably pretty much a wash, with neither team actually sporting a consistent NFL caliber run game, but I'll give the Chiefs a slight advantage because I think we have the better run-blocking OL.

So slight advantage to BUF overall, since this week they will have clear cut advantages at WR and defense overall. Basically, a wash everywhere else.

I could see a 1 or 1.5 point advantage for BUF, but 3 seems a bit high. Come playoffs, I think the defense thing will cancel if we're healthy, and our run game will probably edge theirs, mostly because we just flat out have a better running OL when they're healthy.

Of course, so long as Diggs and Gabe Davis are on the field, they'll always have the advantage at WR this season. Spags has done a good job of holding Diggs down in the past, but now this Davis guy has apparently come into his own, and judging from the highlight reels, he's going to be a problem. My guess is that Spags will do what he's been doing vs. Diggs (with a couple twists because that's how Spags rolls), and try out different matchups with Gabe. So expecting Gabe to have a pretty good day, but hopefully by the end of the half he'll have someone on him that can slow him down a little.

Going to be a very interesting game.
I think you nailed it, except for defense. I don’t think there is anyone KC could add (or get healthy) that would get KC’s defense in the same stratosphere as Buffalo’s.

That being said, not sure it matters. Mahomes eats great defenses for breakfast and shits them out for lunch.

And when he does throw an INT, it's NHF.

When Hill bobbles a perfect pass directly into a DB's hands six times, "Mahomes is struggling."

I think the point Megatron was making is that both Mahomes and Allen get away with dropped INT’s. So to point it out for one player is intellectually dishonest.

Yeah, I wasn't really thinking they'd be equal, just that KC D would be better than they are right now. Once Gay is back, and McDuffie, and as the secondary gels and gets more comfortable, they should be a lot better than they are now. And we have multiple years of historical precedent to lean on in that regard. Spags defenses always play better after week 8 or 9, especially the secondary.

And Gay fixes a lot of issues along the DL, both vs. the run and the pass, so we'll definitely be better along the defensive front once he's back.

All of that should close the margin between the two defenses some, maybe even get close enough to mostly cancel their significant advantage right now.

This year only, he has 4 INTs, 4 fumbles and a bunch of dropped INTs. In 5 games. He's on pace for 14 INTs and 14 fumbles. And this demonstrates improved ball security? Interesting.

In his last 17 games, he has 16 INTs and 13 fumbles. Yep, sure seems he's left his ball security issues in the past.
