I don’t see much talk about Pacheatcode becoming the new #1

Everybody was pounding the table for Clyde—their favorite player to hate—to be demoted. And what do you know. The very next week, Andy gave you your wish. Yet nobody cares?

Let the reign of Pacheatcode begin.

huh maybe it's just confirmation bias on my part and how he's used. just seems like his runs are more fruitful than CEH's

**** it. Do it while he’s young. I doubt he’ll get a second contract in KC so I don’t care as long as he produces.

I really don't understand it at all.

Have we considered that he may quite literally be blind?

Clyde has no vision and determines where he is going before the ball is ever snapped. He is the complete anti Leveon Bell who would very patiently pick his hole.

The only think I can figure is that he's keying on #90 there and sees him flash inside so he's trying to bounce around him.

But that's my point - it's 2nd and 1, man. You need 1 yard and you have him at half a man. Even if he IS flashing inside Smith there, just hit him and drive through for the 1st down.

It was just a really really bad run. On a looooooong list of them.

Clay posted his TD run gif in the game thread.

I thought it was hilarious because you can see CEH process “Holy shit, that hole right in front of me is massive. I need to explode through it!”

It’s like a cartoon, you can see him attempt to “activate the turbo boost” but he doesn’t even accelerate in the least.

Funniest thing from yesterday’s game aside from Sneed punching Aiyuk.

Its probably because CEH runs like 7 yards straight to get 4.5 yards on average and McKinnon runs 20 yards yards horizontally to get 4.1 yards on average.

McKinnon has 29 attempts. 19 of those have come on 1st down.

I just think he doesn't really want to innovate. He's going to go where its designed to go and you can tell just from the way the line is blocking by pushing the defenders to the right that its designed to go left.

I ran an end-around in HS once and it felt like that.

"Holy shit, we blocked the edge! The DB just got blocked into the bleachers - I'm gonna get the sideline and house this ****er! LETS GOOOOO!!!!!!!"

{hits 'jets'}

"Wait...why isn't the sideling getting here faster? Shit, why's that linebacker getting closer? I turned on the jets, dammit!!"

{gets brought down for 7 yard gain}

It was so very pathetic. I mean if I had any burst at all, it goes 70.

I did not.

He also isn't fast or explosive so he's athletically limited at the NFL level. He can't go outside, LB's run him down like he's nothing. We've hit this point that unless you can open a huge hole up in the tackle box he's pretty worthless.

I don't know why we spend so much time on this shit.

If I wanted to go back through all the film, I could find 2 or 3 instances of Pacheco missing a huge hole and running into the backs of his linemen, too.

This idea that he's light years better than CEH is not based in fact.

You could say the same about pretty much every RB outside of the truly all time greats.

Remember when the Chiefs were playing the Titans in the playoffs with one of the worst run defenses in the game and Derrick Henry was suppose to run for 200 yards? He got 60 and like 3.5 YPC. How you block is more important to how you run. That's why its the most replaceable position on the field and why it was such bad value to pick a RB in the 1st, regardless of the result.
