Check it out starting in 2000, I don't care. It still comes out that most teams lose when they get that far out of whack between running and passing. The fence appears to be about 35% running vs 75% passing. Passing more than about 75% of the time usually leads to losses.

You're probably misinterpreting cause and affect there. Teams throw more when they're behind and run more when they have the lead.
We pass because we're good at it. Andy even specifically said in the post game that the Broncos were playing heavy run defense, so we passed to take advantage of it.
