We're too damn predictable

This shit is outrageous. We have had 30 plays on offense so far and a whooping 6 have been runs. 80/20 pass to run ratio is not going to get it done. Our offense looks like garbage when we go one dimensional.

Check it out starting in 2000, I don't care. It still comes out that most teams lose when they get that far out of whack between running and passing. The fence appears to be about 35% running vs 75% passing. Passing more than about 75% of the time usually leads to losses.
You're probably misinterpreting cause and affect there. Teams throw more when they're behind and run more when they have the lead.

We pass because we're good at it. Andy even specifically said in the post game that the Broncos were playing heavy run defense, so we passed to take advantage of it.

The whole goal for just about any defense is to make the opposing offense one dimensional.

We just do that for them most of the time.

It allows the defense to just ignore half of their reads and rush the passer. It makes it difficult on the offensive line. It makes it difficult on the QB, even Mahomes.

It's just dumb, and I'm really tired of arguing with morons about it.

Yes, you still have to keep defenses honest. We don't bother half of the time, and then wonder why we bog down for long stretches.

The problem with this team isn't the offense. And it certainly isn't a lack of runs on offense. Dumb, dumb stuff here.

Okay, let's say I agree with you about the context.

Then why is it when the Chiefs push it past about 30% rushing vs. 70% passing they lose more games? And/or the games are always closer, and the Chiefs scoring efficiency declines significantly?

The sweet spot for the Chiefs has been right around 60/40 in the Mahomes era, give or take a couple percentage points. Don't think they've lost a single game when they've kept that ratio.

Andy trying to win Mahomes the mvp. We’re obviously better when we have a balanced attack.

Again, cause and affect. You can't keep that ratio if you're behind. You can run for 2 YPC all first half, fall behind, and end up having to pass it 99% of the time in the second half trying to save clock for a comeback.

Teams don't lose games because they pass a lot. They pass a lot because they're losing.

Might have something to do with the fact that the team has no short run game to speak of. Like at all.

You shouldn't be running with a team that can't run.

The fact that the Chiefs are the league's best offense by a mile probably.

And it certainly isn't because of their run game.

So no actual explanation for why the offense couldn't convert a single first down in that stretch utilizing the world's best passing attack. Got it.

What are you even arguing here? Whatever it is it makes no sense at all.

The Chiefs have the best offense in football by a metric ton and it is because they pass a huge amount with the best/most talented QB in NFL history.
