Why Patrick Mahomes is an Overrated Gimmick Propped Up By Andy Reid

Why Patrick Mahomes is an Overrated Gimmick Propped Up By Andy Reid........

Give me a break. They are coming out of the woodwork after our Super Bowl win.

Coach Jason Brown: “’Trolling’ sounds like it’s a ‘falsehood’, or a ‘lie’, or it’s a non-truth, and it’s making up things to get clickbait; that’s not me. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t put out crap just to get clicks, I don’t really care. What I say is the TRUTH, and the Kansas City fan base can’t handle it so you can't call me me a ‘troll’. Where has this great Chiefs fan base been the last 15 years? Where were they when Mahomes played at Texas Tech? I said the same stuff last year and didn’t hear anything from them. I am a ‘truth teller’, and the true Chiefs fan base actually agrees with me.”

What an embarrassment that field should be for the NFL. No excuse for that.
Did we change to longer cleats(1/2" to 3/4") in the first half or half time ? Because I know the Eagles started changing their cleats in the first half.

Just another internet troll. Whether they infest facebook, twitter or DC, they're basically a cyber version of the crazy homeless guy ranting about the end of the world and screaming that all passers-by who don't engage him are fools. At least in cyberspace you can't smell the piss stench.

We give credence to these turds by acknowledging them. I watched a few seconds of that twitter shit. Shouldn't have even done that.

"Let's see him win a playoff game on the road!"

Wouldn't it be hilarious if by the end of his career Mahomes had a Brady-like resume and never played a single road playoff game other than the Super Bowl?

This!

We all know people trash the Chiefs and Mahomes mostly without merit just to get clicks from the haters and Chief fans outraged that someone had to gall to say Mahomes sucks. We all know better. Dont feed the trolls.

Honestly as long as he doesn't vote for All Pro, MVP, SB MVP, or the HOF then his opinion is irrelevant. He is trying to rile people up to get clicks and is not worth it. If it was not for the OP I would not have even known what his take was.

Kelce said on his podcast KC had the best cleats for that grass from the start so they didn't change.

Anyone who has watched the Chiefs the last few years could tell you Mahomes would have no problem in a road game.

The disadvantage would be our DL would not fire off the ball as well.

Pat is being propped up by Andy eh?

Andy Reid was a head coach for 18 years before Mahomes was his QB and he had 0 SB wins and 1 appearance in 18 years.

With Mahomes he has had 3 SB appearances and 2 wins in 5 years.

Stop with the stupid bullshit. It may be the perfect scenario but Mahomes isn't being "propped up" by anyone. Period.

Also what Makes Mahomes Mahomes are the plays he makes off script which aren't Andy designed plays so your idea Andy's play calling makes Mahomes look good is nonsense as well. Basically you have everything ass backwards as ususal.

Yeah, any idiot worried about Mahomes having to play playoff games on the road is just that; an idiot.

His numbers in the regular season are actually quite a bit better on the road than at Arrowhead. He typically plays his best football away from home.

Home: 31-7 record (.816 win %) 291 ypg 65% comp.% 83-24 TD-INT QB Rating 100.5

Away: 33-9 record (.786 win %) 314 ypg 68% comp.% 109-25 TD-INT QB Rating 110.4

That's for his career, not including playoff games. As you can see, an ever so slightly better winning % at home (likely due to better defense and home crowd aspect), but in pretty much every statistical category that means anything (I didn't post all of them, obviously) he is an even better QB away from Arrowhead.

Make no mistake, there will come a time when the Chiefs have a lesser W-L record with Mahomes, due to injuries on the team, bad luck, poor performance by a unit, etc. and they will have a lower seed and have to go on the road to win playoff games.

And then Mahomes will do what Mahomes does on the road and promptly rip the hearts out of another AFC fanbase as they were sure this was the year due to hosting playoff games. Can't wait to see it happen . . . . . . . .

Sooo... you're saying Andy is making Mahomes better? You mean, like... coaching? You're saying Andy is coaching and doing the stuff that's in his job description and as a result Mahomes is better than if Andy didn't coach?

I imagine if you wanted to conduct your little experiment and made Andy Reid go away, the Chiefs would probably hire a different coach, and that coach would probably coach Mahomes.

Are you asking what Mahomes would be like if he didn't have a coach? That way we could gauge if he's being propped up in any way by some dude who is coaching him?

Andy makes every QB better so its probably true Patrick wouldn't have the same stats on another coach. But he would be just as good or better on 3rd down. Im speaking strictly based on stats. Patrick would be the best QB in the game with any coach, doesnt mean he isnt the best with THIS coach.
