Why Patrick Mahomes is an Overrated Gimmick Propped Up By Andy Reid

Why Patrick Mahomes is an Overrated Gimmick Propped Up By Andy Reid........

Give me a break. They are coming out of the woodwork after our Super Bowl win.

Coach Jason Brown: “’Trolling’ sounds like it’s a ‘falsehood’, or a ‘lie’, or it’s a non-truth, and it’s making up things to get clickbait; that’s not me. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t put out crap just to get clicks, I don’t really care. What I say is the TRUTH, and the Kansas City fan base can’t handle it so you can't call me me a ‘troll’. Where has this great Chiefs fan base been the last 15 years? Where were they when Mahomes played at Texas Tech? I said the same stuff last year and didn’t hear anything from them. I am a ‘truth teller’, and the true Chiefs fan base actually agrees with me.”

It's just bullshit revisionist history designed to take credit away from the clear best guy out there. Because "well shit, he's just better than everyone" doesn't get any sort of audience.
Are people really trying to say the Chiefs defense is better than the Eagles defense? KC gave up a ton of yards and 35 points. The only thing we can say for sure is the Eagles defense was probably overrated, based in large part on a weak schedule facing a lot of bad QB's. That does not mean KC had the better defense. Both defenses looked pretty dang bad in that game, lol

It has gotten pretty old watching people denigrate the.roster, though. It's always been an upper tier roster even when Veach was going through growing pains into a top tier GM.

Well, yeah, the field did a pretty damn good job in neutering both defenses.

No, Patrick Mahomes is not an overrated gimmick propped up by Andy Reid. Mahomes has demonstrated exceptional talent and skill as a quarterback throughout his career, both in college and in the NFL. He has consistently performed at a high level, breaking numerous records and leading his team to multiple playoff appearances and a Super Bowl victory.

While Andy Reid's coaching has undoubtedly played a role in Mahomes' success, it is clear that Mahomes possesses unique abilities that have helped him excel on the field. He is known for his incredible arm strength, accuracy, and ability to make plays both in and out of the pocket. Additionally, he has shown a strong work ethic and a willingness to continue improving his skills as a quarterback.

Overall, while coaching can certainly play a role in a player's success, it is clear that Patrick Mahomes is an incredibly talented and skilled quarterback in his own right, and his success is a result of his own abilities and hard work.
So there you have it.

The Chiefs defense is immune to the #1 killer of NFL defenses: Patrick Mahomes.

That's a pretty big advantage that they have over the rest of the league.

In Reid's first 4 seasons here, they fielded a top 10 defense every year, more than Marty in any 4 year period. And 3 of those 4 years they were TOP FIVE.

Granted, a lot of those guys were holdovers from the previous regime but those same players won 2 games in 2012 and won 11 the very next year.

If you want to say 2015 was the real start of Andy and Dorsey's players being more prominent than the older guys, well - they won 23 of 32 games in 2015 and 2016.

And Andy coached Alex Smith to a career year in 2017. Some pundits were talking about Smith as a possible POY candidate at the time.

This idea that the Chiefs have EVER had a bad roster under Reid is just pure nonsense.

Under Reid, they've NEVER finished worse than 2nd in the AFC West and those 3 years they finished 2nd just happened to be 2013-2015.

I will. KC's defense gave up less points, so at the end of the day, you can't argue with basic math.

But I'll go a bit further and say that Spags defense attacked and adjusted their attack throughout the game; Gannon's defense played passively, tried to just read and react, and never made any adjustments.

In short, they tried to lean on their record/narrative that they were the second-coming of the 85 Bears defense, when they were in fact nothing of the kind.

Spags defense attacked while Gannon's tried to sit back and defend the walls of their imaginary greatness. I'll applaud the hunters, not the hunted.

I've rewatched the game a few times, Mahomes, Kelce and several offensive players were slipping a lot as well.

One that I didn't notice originally was on Mahomes first big scramble he slipped and almost went all the way to the ground before recovering and taking off.

What an embarrassment that field should be for the NFL. No excuse for that.

That's the clown people are spending time talking about?

Andy Reid's sweaty post game underwear has more coaching talent than that douche.

Oh yeah. On that designed 3rd down rollout that Mahomes slipped on and threw the ball into the LOS I'm still a bit shocked he didn't reaggravate the sprain then. That was a pretty brutal slip.
