Funny that the exec says that after we let OBJ walk and sign Taylor to convert to LT. I mean I have total faith in the move, but for someone outside the organization to view our off-season as focused on protecting the QB... It doesn't say much for what the league thinks of OBJ.

If you look at what they did objectively, they're trying to get better at pass blocking. Maybe Taylor can't make the switch but if he can, he has the tools to be a WAY better pass blocker than OBJ. NFL execs, by and large, are stubborn but they're not stupid. This team got better at LT with those 2 moves and everybody knows it. The Bengals are just hoping that OBJ is enough of an upgrade over the shit they've had there recently to overcome the Chiefs' upgrade. |
