*****2023 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2023 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE MIDDLE FINGER RING

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #31: Felix Anudike-Uzomah
Round 2, #55: Rashee Rice
Round 3, #92: Wanya Morris
Round 4, #119: Chamarri Conner
Round 5, #166: BJ Thompson
Round 6, #194: Keondre Coburn
Round 7, #250: Nic Jones

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

I feel like all of these QBs are going to suck. Richardson might actually be the best pick, just because he's a freak athlete. But he's just gonna be a Justin Fields.

Stroud has the best chance to be a good passer but I just don't see the upside there. Levis is Josh Rosen. Meh. Someone going to get lucky next year to goet Caleb Williams. That guy is the dude.

If he's Charles explosive then I would love seeing KC trade for him. Charles was unbelievable here when healthy. I trust this training staff to get the most out of Swift.

Kamara is probably a better comparison, very few guys will be Charles.

What do you mean by suck?

CJ Stroud is probably going to have a very solid but not awesome career, being like the 8th best QB in the league that kinda thing.

I think Young will make great plays and get some people to wow but he'll have issues staying healthy.

Richardson is all about if Steichen can make him Jalen Hurts 2.0 and yea Levis has the highest bust factor but it's about where he goes.

The AFC is loaded with elite young QBs. Him being 8th best in the league might still mean he is the 6th or 7th best in just the AFC.

And that's what I mean, He's never going to be a top 5 guy I don't think he'll just suck ass either though.

Like I don't even think he'll be as good as Trevor Lawrence.

I get not wanting to have the cameras on you because they will be....but then decline to be at the draft. As far as I know, Keion White isn't going home. It's not like you'd be back there by yourself...and you're probably going to be drafted in the first 10-15 picks of the 2nd round.

Cowboys apparently said they only had 11 first round grades this year, that's rough.

With Jerick McKinnon overcoming his injury issues, Swift surely could also, probably only costs a 5th round pick. Might be worth looking into if the Chiefs don’t grab a RB in the draft. The Bengals are said to have interests, as well as a few other teams.

Yeah, that's a terrible decision and will cause him to drop more. Stay and play it up. Mug for the camera. Put up a big white board and mark names off. Everyone loves an underdog, so a situation like this can make America love you. Leave early and America will think you're a petulant brat.
