A first round RB shouldnt need to play against the 2s and 3s to not be terrible.

And I doubt he'll play any special teams like Perrine or Prince would so what's the point of him being on the team?

I'm not a Clyde fan. but Rewatch the games, our starting Oline has been good at pass protect, but on those rush attempts, Walter Payton wouldn't have gotten any yards on most of those carries. When he did have some ok blocking against the Cards on the 2nd series, he had some nice plays.

If my RB can only get what is blocked up for him, well, I can throw any old RB in for that.

That's ALWAYS Clyde's problem.

It's like when people said we shouldn't replace Cassel because "Just look at his offensive line! And no receivers either!" That is absolutely true. But eventually you recognize that others are making plays with the same surrounding talent, and you start to lean more into user error being a likely cause for the problems we're having the majority of the time.

Surely it's not just coincidence that CEH has like 2 20 yard runs in his entire career, yeah? Or that he's put up a pretty pathetic YPC since his rookie year.

Clyde with a perfectly blocked play = three to seven yards.

That's the high side. He's slow, has heavy feet, lacks vision.
