this is not the time to **** around with rookies over proven depth

either of those guys could be a fumble waiting to happen

Cmon Clay, you should know as well as anyone how many rookies we started/played in the SB. The young guys need to play.

Edit: Sky Moore muffed 3 punts, one of them very directly leading to a loss. But he still delivered in the AFCCG when we needed someone to make a play. I rest my case.

Clyde's touches per game are going to be so low it doesn't justify risking any of those touches on an unproven player.

If Pacheco or McKinnon get hurt I'll listen to it.

Wanna bet who is going to get the most carries in the first few weeks of the season?

And every one of them is a shitty stutter that causes him to miss the hole and fart out 1-2 yards.

No way....Pacheco will get starting reps with McKinnon for 3rd and long situations. Perine will get more touches than CEH IF he makes the roster

Especially since Clyde had had no reps vs. the other teams 2s and 3s.

A first round RB shouldnt need to play against the 2s and 3s to not be terrible.

And I doubt he'll play any special teams like Perrine or Prince would so what's the point of him being on the team?

I'm not a Clyde fan. but Rewatch the games, our starting Oline has been good at pass protect, but on those rush attempts, Walter Payton wouldn't have gotten any yards on most of those carries. When he did have some ok blocking against the Cards on the 2nd series, he had some nice plays.

If my RB can only get what is blocked up for him, well, I can throw any old RB in for that.

That's ALWAYS Clyde's problem.

It's like when people said we shouldn't replace Cassel because "Just look at his offensive line! And no receivers either!" That is absolutely true. But eventually you recognize that others are making plays with the same surrounding talent, and you start to lean more into user error being a likely cause for the problems we're having the majority of the time.

Surely it's not just coincidence that CEH has like 2 20 yard runs in his entire career, yeah? Or that he's put up a pretty pathetic YPC since his rookie year.

Clyde with a perfectly blocked play = three to seven yards.

That's the high side. He's slow, has heavy feet, lacks vision.
