That's not what people want though.

Don't most CPers want Chris Jones gone?

No. They don't want to lose a ton of talent or the opportunity to improve at the cost of keeping one guy who wants to break the bank.

Chris Jones is one of the 3 Elite, HOF players on the roster.

The other HOF player was traded.

If you don't want to sign your best players to instead fill the roster out with guys that are good but not special, just say that's what you want to do.

If you want to fill out your roster with guys like Dan Sorensen because you're paying most of your cap for two or three guys just say so.

And you are in even more of a world of pain if one of those three high paid guys becomes day to day or loses his spirit.

I don't want to not have Chris Jones.

But I understand that Mahomes on two legs plus the best 52 is probably the best shot at winning it all in any and all seasons.

Not if you just turn off the salary cap like in Madden.

I think there's a lot of Madden and fantasy football guys on the board.

I get it, it's fun, but it's not real.

Not the choice at all.

You can keep your best players if you don't pay guys like MVS 10-11 million a year or Frank Clark 20,000,000 or Anthony Hitchens 10-12 Million.

BTW, Jones cap hit this year is almost 27,000,000 and I don't see a Dan Sorenson on the roster.

So complete fiction what you created.

You're gonna be real mad when the Chiefs can't trade up for a WR next Spring bc they only have 5 draft picks and they can't afford a high profile WR in FA bc that money is going to Chris Jones.

If Jones walks for nothing they'll still have 5 picks next Spring, and will have another hole to fill.

No, it's a reality that you choose to ignore.

Sometimes the free agent signings don't prove worth the squeeze. Even when they look like a sure thing. And then you're stuck with them.

Which is why I would rather spend the money on our guys that we KNOW fit here than the guys other teams decided they would rather not pay.

You just said you wanted our best defensive player to walk. So you don't actually want to keep "our guys".
