Thank goodness the Hardman fumble didn’t kill the Chiefs. Or the failed defensive plays when Josh was trying to give the ball away at the end.

Buffalo hogged the ball for almost 2/3rds of the game clock, Hardman gave away 7 points, Buffalo had the very strong home crowd, and Buffalo still lost. Ouch Buffalo. Major ouch. Lol

In fact, as I remember it, CP went semi-nuts disagreeing with their take. And I'm pretty sure they had one for him this season as well, and again, I don't remember CP touting NGS as the end-all/be-all of statistical analysis.

I think it's more than fair to say that Josh didn't have a great day throwing the ball deep. But I also think it's fair to say that his receivers shat their pants when Josh did deliver dimes that hit them in the hands/biceps.

I mean, he threw them three very catchable balls that none of his receivers secured, two of which hit these guys right in the hands. That's on the receivers, not Allen, imo. Catch the effing ball, that's your mfing job, especially when it hits you right in the hands.

edit: The commentary from Dan and Clark was great. Love listening to those guys talk football. Well, most of the time. Until they start just yelling at each other. But they're way better than Stephen A.'s show most of the time.

I hate comparing head to head QB records.

Burrow is still 3-1 against Mahomes. Goff is 2-0 against Mahomes. Eli Manning is 2-0 against Brady in the playoffs. Brady is 2-0 against Mahomes in the playoffs. Peyton Manning is 3-2 against Brady in the playoffs (you don't hear this one much).

It's just lazy analysis. This isn't basketball. These players don't compete against each other at the same time. Plus, there's 20 other starters on the field.

I don't remember 25 or 30 years ago hearing about head to head QB records. I have no idea what Marino/Elway or Young/Favre were against each other. Now that everyone has a social media account and everyone is a sports analyst, we're forced to hear this talk.

Allen is not better at Mahomes but also Allen's defense was shit against the Chiefs in all three playoff games. They should have won the 13 second game if not for dumb coaching.

You must have missed KCs defense in the :13 second game. You can compare because it’s not like Allen played on overachiever teams. He’s had plenty of talent but can’t make it past KC. Allen wows people, but is unable to close the deal when it matters which is why his team has been to one AFCCG.

Allen's biggest problem is the media wants to anoint him. He wasn't any worse than Brady against the Chiefs in two playoff games, especially the first one where Brady threw two (should have been three picks if not for Dee Ford). Burrow has thrown three INTs against us in the playoffs in recent years. The Chiefs lost several of those games despite opposing QB mistakes.

In the three playoff games against Buffalo, the Chiefs scored 38, 42, and 27. Allen wasn't better than Mahomes in those games, but he got no help defensively.

Now the media is all over a guy they've overrated themselves.

If the Chiefs play the Lions in the Super Bowl, we'll hear all about Jared Goff's 2-0 record against Mahomes.

I don't like the QB win stuff either. Mahomes had a losing record in college, but it damn sure was not because he was a loser. Tech had a terrible defense and shaky roster in general, with a very young head coach who was not qualified to be in the job.

Yep! It was the same with Geno Smith as he would put up 7 TD's and 500 yards and still lose because the WV defense was the worst in the country.

You would hear critics say "HE'S NOT A WINNER!"

That was the 2nd worst football call in NFL history that lost a game for sure. Thee worst football call of all time???

No doubt Pete Carroll's pass play interception in the SB against the Patriots after watching Lynch rape the Patriots defense all game and especially the last drive down to the 1 yd line with 20 seconds to go and 1 timeout and Pete allows for a pass play to be called ????

Mecole getting the ball on the two when you have Pacheco and Clyde on a tear. However, that didn't lose the game so it's in a different category.

The difference between Allen and Mahomes is that when the lights are brightest Mahomes shines. Allen gets excuses made for him. With the game on the line Allen didn’t produce. On TBD there isn’t one fan who felt like had they made the FG that Mahomes would not have marched down the field to win it.
