I was cleaning out a flower bed yesterday afternoon and found a little, tiny turtle about the size of my thumbnail in the day lilies, Mr. the_spatula. His shell had a descernable ridge down the middle and faint, light colored spots on a dark grey background. Do you happen to know what kind it was? Snapper, maybe? That's the only turtle I know with a ridge on the shell.
EDIT: STOP THE PRESSES!!! I think I found it in Turtle Steve's Turtle Field Guide!! I think it might have been a Yellow-Blotched Sawback Turtle!!! FAX |
