3-3 after six games.

I am going to post this now, because I think there will be a lot of optimism following the Raiders game.

I have watched the Ravens game a few times. The more I watch it, the better I feel about this team.

The Chiefs will win against the Raiders. Not just win, but be in control of the game.

Basically, Oakland's offense is not balanced enough to stretch the Chiefs defense like last week.

Now, that is just one win.... after which we go to Philly, then have the Giants at home, then the Cowboys and then the Redskins.

So, with those quality teams, how can I predict the Chiefs winning two of them.

Okay, well lets look at the Eagles first. The Eagles looked great against Carolina. But, that was after Delhome shat himself. He began to hold the ball longer as the game went along. I don't think the defense is 'that' good.

The Eagles like to bring the blitz alot, but are not huge up front. I think the Chiefs can get the run game going. I don't think McNabb will be back and I think the Eagles will try to work Vick in too much. It will be a detriment to the offense.

Chiefs have a much better shot at that game than if they had McNabb.

Even still, I am predicting this as a loss.

Next up is the Giants at home. As much as I would like to spin this as a win.... I can't. The Giants are a great team. The Chiefs put up a good fight because it is at home, but I can't see them pulling this game out.

So, loss again. So far I am not looking too good.

Luckily.... we have the Cowboys coming in. The Cowboys will be playing their second straight road game. It will be a high scoring game. But the Chiefs will pull it out as the Cowboys look towards their bye week and take the Chiefs lightly.

So, looking a little better at 2-3.

Next up: Washington Redskins. Chiefs catch the Skins in between two conference games. The game before is Carolina. But, more importantly, the game the following week is Philly.

Chiefs won't put up a ton of points, but won't allow many either. Luckily Clinton Portis is on the tail end of his career and NOT playing behing a great Broncos line.

Campbell won't get it done in front of the home crowd and the Chiefs pull out the victory.

.......

Or, the Chiefs could be 0-6..... WTF do I know, I thought Sanchez was Pennington at best and he pulls a freaking Joe Montana in Houston (exageration intended)

I don't know why anyone would want to watch a game more than once, unless it was to go back and focus on specific players.. and even that can lead to over analyzing.

Last week's game reminded me a lot of the 2003 season, when we had some very lucky breaks, but a large group of people (myself included) decided to completely ignore the huge problem. Of course, I'm not comparing the two teams, but I'd think years later people wouldn't take one game so seriously. Let's give up 500 yards every week, rush for 30, and have a ToP with a 2/1 ratio, and see how we do the rest of the season.

We shall see. It will give us a good barometer as to how good San Diego is, or whether they may be a little overated.

Seventeen WEEKS....but the point remains.

Of course if your dumb ass was SENSIBLE you would have already been able to figure that out for yourself.

I don't remember a pass being deflected by the corner and ending up in the hands of our WR.

That's a lucky break.

I saw a lot of guys keep scratching and fighting and finding a way to stand in against a more talented team.

That isn't luck.

The punt block was the right call at the right time.

The interception was a ridiculously great catch from a fully extended player.

Luck isn't losing your starting QB in the preseason. Luck isn't having your best defensive player out.

Man, you guys take things waaaay too seriously.

Look, I picked out two games that I think the Chiefs have a better chance to win than most think. There are specific reasons I picked those games....but, I won't be 'shocked' if the Chiefs don't win.

But, what fun is it to predict something that everyone else is predicting?

Besides, this board is so negative all the time, the homers merely balance it out a little.

And, predicting 0-16 or even 2-14 isn't 'realistic'..... it is pessimistic. Just like 3-3 is optimistic.

For those of you who struggle with math, that is 20% more yards per game.

Additionally, his yards per carry average in Denver was 5.5. His yards per carry average in Washington has been..... 4.09 yards per carry. He averaged a yard and a half more per carry in Denver.

Now, who is the dumbass? You have to look a little deeper... but it sounds like that might be hard for you.
Read this.

Eh, call it luck or capitalizing off the Ravens' mistakes or whatever... my point was geared much more towards the part about how, if we played like that every week, we won't be tied with 5 minutes to go in the game. I don't care if it was the mighty Ravens last week and the lowly Raiders this week... let's do that again and see how it turns out.

And, no, I'm not a scout or a coach or a player, so unless I wanted to go back and focus on specific players, why would I want to watch that game again? So I can start overanalyzing and seeing things that weren't there?
