There were a few funny parts, but for the most part it was kinda lame.

This is one of the films for which I'll be glad I work at a movie theater and can see it for free: I'll wander in, watch it half-asleep, perk up (pardon the pun) at the Natalie Portman scenes, and then go back to being half-asleep.

without the brilliant stoner acting by James Franco, I probably wouldn't have liked Pineapple Express. I've seen it dozens of times and it's always funny. I do smoke a ton of weed and a lot of that stuff is familiar and I'm pretty sure that they were actually high during that film, making the realism even better.
