But I liked it too. I expect the same here. I'm kind of a fantasy geek, and a big fan of crude humor. And odds are, I'll be watching it with a buddy or two... and a pretty good buzz goin'. And that's the way a movie like this should be seen.

without the brilliant stoner acting by James Franco, I probably wouldn't have liked Pineapple Express. I've seen it dozens of times and it's always funny. I do smoke a ton of weed and a lot of that stuff is familiar and I'm pretty sure that they were actually high during that film, making the realism even better.
