Haley's love of Palko goes back to preseason. Palko got to run with the first team. When Cassel hurt is ribs in the final game, it was Palko who got to play the ENTIRE game. 4th preseason game always equals play the scrubs. Haley chose to play Palko. They have a small connection back to Pitt.
I understand it is the "in" thing to kick Pioli now that Haley is gone. Pioli certainly deserves blame, but to think Haley couldn't have pulled Palko in the 3rd or 4th quarter is a joke.

With the whole Palko vs Stanzi thing, I think it boils down to one of two options.
A - You believe Todd Hailey legitimately believe Palko was better and therefore was crazy.
B - It was a big F U to Scott Pioli. Todd knew he was getting fired a long time ago. So he wouldn't even play Scott's draft pick or play the guy they just blew 6 mil on.
