I think Crennel has a chance at the HC gig, but what will season ticket renewals be if it's Crennel + Cassel? That's a tough sell.

Renewals will be high because, from listening to KC sports talk radio for the last few days, Kansas Citians like the Kool Aid and they don't seem to think that Mark Castle is the worstest korterbak evar.

And if you really listen, you can surmise that they like the idea of Orton even better.

A good portion of the fan base seems to be convinced that it's all on Haley. Cassel was "good enough" last year with Weis and Haley ran off Weis.

Congratulations Scott, your little ruse worked to perfection.

The ultimate problem with the Chiefs fan base is that they are alright with good enough.

Totally agree.

The only way this team becomes a contender every year is to draft a top QB prospect and this is the perfect year to do it (Cassell has shown he is awful, we will have a high enough draft pick (trading up will require a lot but it can be done), we haven`t drafted a top QB prospect in years, if we do not adress the QB position now, well in 3-4 years Hali, Johnson, and others will possibly be on the downside of their career).

Yet, I see so many Chiefs fans say they would be content with us drafting a LT or another position if the QB we want is not there.

There's a great many who would want to draft a LT even if the QB we want IS there.

Yep. I've been saying as much for years, as have others.

I still think fans' dissatisfaction with Cassel is our best shot at not seeing a McDaniels + Cassel reunion. Hunt may not have any clue about what's going on football-wise, but he may be smart enough and clued in enough to know that Cassel is no longer a viable option to many of the fans.
