Sign Orton!

I don't care if this bandwagon smells of piss and is rolling on a donut. At least it rolls...for now!

I'm on this bandwagon until it is pulled over for a DUI!

Sign Orton....**** this Cassl+Daboll talk.

Disclaimer: Yeah I would rather trade up and draft a top-tier QB. But that aint happening...

Pioli: "We've talked with Kyle's people." #Chiefs going to continue trying to make something work with re-signing Kyle Orton.

Pioli said the team wants Kyle Orton back and he seems to want to come back.

Door Is Still Open On Kyle Orton Coming Back To Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli had a number of interesting things to say at his 2012 NFL Combine press conference. The trio of ACL tears -- Jamaal Charles, Tony Moeaki and Eric Berry -- should be ready to roll by next season. The Chiefs don't want to let Dwayne Bowe get away in free agency. The signing of Stanford Routt doesn't rule out Brandon Carr.

And then this: the Chiefs want to re-sign Kyle Orton and it sounds like, Pioli said, Orton would like to return as well. Big difference between wanting something to happen and actually getting it done but interesting stuff nonetheless.

To be fair to the Chiefs, they've been consistent in saying they wanted to try and bring Orton back. Romeo Crennel said the same thing as his season-ending press conference.

We just didn't think Orton would want to return to Kansas City if Matt Cassel is the starting quarterback. There have been rumors connecting Orton to the Washington Redskins but they could be just that -- rumors.

So maybe the Chiefs quarterback competition has been right in front of us this whole time -- Cassel vs. Orton?

I guess so.

I'm starting to warm up to the RT pick, but if Richardson is there I'd take him.

This. We aren't drafting a qb this year and Orton is much better than Casshole.

Yep, Pioli isnt going to stick his neck out on a gamble like Manning & things just dont add up for drafting a stud.

I'll just hope for a career year from Orton, its certainly possible, he's presumably going to have some killer weapons to work with.

Until KC signs or doesn't sign Soliai, I'm sticking with the coin flip of Poe or Richardson.

Then they brought in the living legand with a 1st round draft pick, and were pressured into a QB controversy that everyone pretty much knew was going to go Tebows way.

3.My guess is Orton is better than everyone gives him credit for being. He sort of showed that here, without the benifit of even playing with our offense before. 4.And he probably has a serious chip on his shoulder about being replaced by a FB/TE.
1. He had more than a fair shake in Denver homey. He was handed the job by Fox after McD left and he had his favorite WR in Lloyd too. Lloyd wasn't traded until after Orton was released. So he had Lloyd, D. Thomas, Royal and Decker. So your making crap up when you say "They shipped out his best receivers." Gonna call a big steaming pile of BS on that one.

2. What are you talking about? What "replacement receivers"? D. Thomas had some injuries but Orton still had Lloyd, Royal and Decker. The only WR that was not on the team from the previous year was Gaffney. Otherwise same group of WRs.

3. Broncos fans said the same thing "Orton is better than everyone thinks, he doesn't get much credit, blah, blah, blah." Fact is, Orton stunk up the place and the Broncos were 1-4 with him starting. The Broncos even had a decent running game with McGahee.

4. Orton got a fat contract with the Broncos and he stunk. The only thing he's looking for is a big contract so he "may" be motivated to play for that reason.
