We know Cassel freaks out with pressure, especially when he sees it coming, but now with Winston protecting him on that side the pressure he used to see coming at him will no longer be nearly as present. That alone should make him much better and hopefully not force as many balls into his first reads.

I think automatically taking the check down because the first read wasn't open has been his biggest problem. Like you I hope that seeing less pressure will help him go through his progressions.

Cassel is by far our best pre snap QB; Brady looks like he could be the best when the pre snap read gets covered. No matter what our D and running game will have to win games for us. Fortunately it looks like they can do just that.
