My Dad was HUGE into baseball from when he was a little kid....and he was actually pretty good. Apparently he went to an open tryout for the Red Sox and got a contract offer. Obviously it wasn't anything huge and it was more than likely for one of their farm teams. His other favorite thing was the military. He opted to join the Air Force during the Vietnam War and volunteered to get sent over.

Funny thing is....my Grandma ****ing DESPISED him for making that decision. So much so....that she took his entire baseball card collection and burned them while he was gone at basic training.

well......shit.....that's not gonna make for a feel good movie!
I wonder if he regrets that decision?

PS - when I was a kid in Michigan I had a buncha baseball cards and one was a Catfish Hunter. wonder where that is now? I believe it'd be worth a bit-o-money.

He spent almost 24 years in the Air Force. I don't think he regrets his decision at all.
