But when you realize that Cruz and Welker were undrafted, it makes sense that some NFL scouts are either missing on slot receivers or haven't figured out how evaluate them properly.

I think it is such a tough position to evaluate because it is mental toughness and football smarts for lack of a better term for the smallest guy on the field to survive let alone flourish. I don't know how you can tell until they are on the field with the bullets flying. When Cruz gets the ball I think he's taking to the house, when dexter gets it I think he will break like a twig. It makes me cringe not because I hate like clay just because he might break in mid air.
