I doubt Mike gets another at-bat in the 9th. I won't bother staying up to watch just to update his line.

Man, this seems like a different Royals team under Yost. When they went down 6-3 I thought we were done for. Hillman's Royals would have just crumbled.

They have respect for their manager, that is a big key. i like Yost so far, except that he bats kendall 2nd and plays him a ton.

It is crazy how much difference a decent MLB manager actually makes. I don't blame Yost too much for Kendall, he doesn't have a whole lot to work with right now. I don't expect them to compete yet, but at least they are enjoyable to watch most nights.

I think managers are quite a bit overrated, but even with that caveat, I disagree with very little of what Yost is doing other than his obsession with Kendall. (or is it the organization? What kind of blackmail photos does he have of DM?)

This team will still lose until the minor league talent comes up in a couple years, but its still nice to not have an idiot manager.

throw in 4 walks and 3 errors and anything is possible. Also a couple very rare calls: a batter's interference and a catcher's interference, both breaking our way.

Also 1 passed ball, 4 or 5 wild pitches (including back-to-back to score billy butler of all people from second), all of them in our favor
