Peyton Manning

So...

Do you guys still think Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning?

Everyone always said that he played with the better supporting cast...which is why Tom was better.

Now Peyton is playing behind a terrible offensive line and throwing to the likes of Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon...having arguably his best year ever...just like I always said...it wasn't the OTHER players...it was Peyton Manning.

So...

Is Brady still better than Manning?

Just curious.

(does that mean I'm taking anything away from Drew Brees and the Saints?)

Nope.

I thought the Cardinals were better than the Steelers last year, and clearly the Patriots were better than the Giants the year before.

It's the NFL...the best team doesn't always win. That's why the Chiefs win a few games every now and then.

OK. Look at it this way. Take out the INT. Manning still was only able to put up 7 points through 3 quarters of play. Tyler Thigpen could have done that. I dont care about his amazing passes if he couldn't put together enough short, long, amazing or whatever passes to get his team in the endzone. 17 points in the Superbowl is not a spectacular performance. 31 points on the other hand, with a practically non existent running game to take the pressure of Dwight Freeney off of you is spectacular.

Sean Payton did a solid job after puking on himself in the Vikings game, he learned from that, they deserve credit for having a good gameplan and not being super conservative like Caldwell was.

However I don't see how that entitles a "haha Manning sucks" reaction.

and I'm out.

Can't wait to see Hamas and Milkman come in tomorrow with whatever they want to add...and hopefully we'll see ol' Amnorix chime in again! I almost forgot he existed!

(I'm sure that had nothing to do with Brady suddenly transforming into the 4th or 5th best QB in the game...)

I don't know how that implies they couldn't possibly win with Wayne sucking or that it somehow compares to Robert Meachem who isn't even a starter.
Saints are regularly in a 3WR package. He is basically a starter.

god damnit

I want to be done with this freaking topic

Peyton Manning basically sat out the 2nd quarter...

and he had 1.5 drives in the 3rd quarter...1 of them resulting in a TD...

the reason the Colts had such a high T.O.P. WAS...like usual...

every one of their drives was super clock consuming...I think they punted once (Garcon drop)...

Peyton Manning's TEAM managed to put up 7 points in 3 quarters...I'll give you taht.

Doesn't Manning run his own plays? Wouldn't he be the reason for the Colts offensive gameplan.

Uh dude even if you think Manning is calling every play, I don't think he wanted to kick a 50 yard FG with a 100 year old kicker.

where did I say that?

Kurt Warner threw a 14 point INT with no time remaining in the 1st half...well...at least a 10 point INT...maybe a 14 point INT...

either way...

I'm entitled to my opinion. I thought the postseason Cardinals were the best team in the NFL last year.
