Anyone wanna bet on another team?

I have to say that the Lakers having won 10 straight seem to be better than any of the last championship teams. Not only that but they are relaxed and having fun like none of the other teams ever have. It's weird watching Kobe joking with Shaq and Carl and Payton. The confidence is just oozing out of their pours. It's like they already know they have won it all. The D is playing great. Offensive boards are off the scale. This team has just beginning to gel and they are already unbeatable IMO. The only thing that can stop them now is a major injury or two.

Kings score with 11 seconds left to trail by one.

Kobe gets the ball on the inbounds. He is pressured by Bibby and Kobe intentionally swings his elbow hard into Bibby's face, knocks him down, and they called a foul on Bibby.

Kobe hits two free throws for a 3-point lead. Bibby takes the last shot to tie and misses.

What should have happened was an offensive foul on Kobe, probably a flagrant and possibly an ejection.

Bibby should have had two free throws to take the lead. Then the Lakers would have time to get a shot.

If Kings win that game, they win the series.

That awful call was even more decisive than Horry's jumper. At least Horry did it fair and square.

The officiating was so bad in that game that Ralph Nader and the Sports industry watchdog group, League of Fans, wrote David Stern a letter.

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 106-102 in the game. But Nader, a consumer advocate and former Green Party presidential candidate, and the League of Fans, a sports-industry watchdog group, sent a letter to NBA Commissioner David Stern on Tuesday asking for a review, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday.

``At a time when the public's confidence is shaken by headlines reporting the breach of trust by corporate executives, it is important, during the public's relaxation time, for there to be maintained a sense of impartiality and professionalism in commercial sports performances,'' the letter said. ''That sense was severely broken ... during Game 6.''

The Lakers shot 27 free throws in the fourth quarter and scored 16 of their final 18 points at the foul line. The letter also addresses an incident where Lakers guard Kobe Bryant elbowed opponent Mike Bibby in the nose. A foul was not called with less than 20 seconds remaining in the game.

``Unless the NBA orders a review of this game's officiating, perceptions and suspicions, however presently absent any evidence, will abound,'' the letter said. ``A review that satisfies the fans' sense of fairness and deters future recurrences would be a salutary contribution to the public trust that the NBA badly needs.''

Puuhhhhhhhhlllllllleeeeeeease!!!! Yea like your team didn't get any calls in that series. You guys are the kings of two things, crying first and flopping second. The only reason Vlade is on your team is to flop for Shaq and try and get him out of the game. Tom Tolbert was talking the other night when someone flopped. He says "he needs to take lessons from Vlade and throw his head back a little more." That says everything about the way they ball. Horry's shot is what it is, greatness. Why don't you look at the real reason you don't have a trophy. Your paying Vladeflop 14.5Mill this season and your paying Webber enough to be your Kobe Bryant. Replace those guys and you'll get a championship and quit blaming it on one call. Your team got more than their share. Vlade tipping the ball out to Horry so he could sink the game winning 3 pointer was poetic justice.

I don't know why you keep claiming that I was always for the Kings. I wish them well this year, but as for 2002, everybody except for the most blindest of Laker homers knows that game 6 of that series was a huge farce.

And Kobe intentionally busting Bibby in the head with his elbow was a master grand finale as the most BS call in the worst officiated NBA playoff game ever.

One of those T-Wolves at Lakers games last year was almost equally farcical, but I think the T-Wolves managed to win anyway.

Actually I remember that Kings game jettio talked about, I'd have to admit that was one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen.

And I'm with you KcMizzou, I want to see Larry Bird have one more triumph over the Lakers... he missed his chance in 2000...
