How much is the draft going to suck....

...if they don't trade out of the three hole?

I don't actually mean that as a statement about any particular player, but I can't image watching the Chiefs draft whatever it is, a half hour or 45 minutes into it on Saturday, and then not doing anything at all until Sunday.

That would be brutal.

To heck with that. It's either sit around all day waiting 15 minutes for every draft pick to come around or go out and do what I want all day and then get all the info I need in about 10 minutes on NFL.com

I could sit and watch a football game or read the box score in the newspaper the next day.

Watching a game is a lot different than watching the draft. Watching a bunch of ESPN guys talk hours on end on a perfectly good Saturday afternoon in Florida sounds more like torture to me.

Of course, I always make sure I'm around for the Chiefs picks, but for the time until the Chiefs pick again....I'm mostly in and out of the draft. At the very least, the TV is on in the background as I'm doing something else.

You guys need to get hardcore into the draft, it's more fun that way.

I'm not really into the silly squabbles over what "coulda", "shoulda", "woulda" happens in the Draft. Of course, I have my own opinion on what we should do (take Curry at #3 or trade down) and I like to browse through and see other people's opinions, but it seems to be taken to a whole 'nother level here.

Regardless of what happens, even if we go batshit crazy and take Michael Crabtree, I'll EVENTUALLY (not at that moment, mind you ) accept it and move on, embracing our new talent. However, around here, it seems nobody's going to be happy with whatever we do and it's going to be a reason for them to start shit where it might not entirely be warranted.

Well, some of us take the squabbling to an extreme.

But even without that, trust me - the NFL draft GREATLY enhances your enjoyment of football, college and pro.

I will watch the first hour or two, maybe three, but it doesn't hold my attention that long. After it gets into the late first round I only check back for when the Chiefs put in a pick
