I believe Norma, then Jamaal then Dj.

I also think that Trent deserves to be in there too.

Whoever the GM for the Broncos was that traded up for Paxton Lynch and prevented us from drafting him. Then we get Mahomes the next year.

Ya know, you might as well put the Bills GM in our ring of honor too.

It isn't the ring of realllly good. Just like the HOF in Canton, the bar seems to have dropped over the last decade or two. It lessens the ones already in when you add a borderline candidate. one could argue that, with 50 years between SB, there weren't many players/personnel worthy of the honor when the "homer" glasses are taken off. Norma Hunt deserves some form of honor, but none should also be an option.

I think this is faulty logic.

Will Shields, Tony Gonzalez, Derrick Thomas and Willie Roaf are some of the best players of all time. Guys like Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry and Priest Holmes were Hall of Fame level talents or producers for relatively short time periods.

I hate the fact that a guy like Pacheco is more likely to gain access to the Ring of Honor than Charles or Priest simply because he had the great fortune of playing with Mahomes.

You name 4 that are worthy and deserving. There are others that are also. The next 3 were very good but not HOF/ROF worthy. Just because they were good/the best on shitty teams doesn't earn them a place. Being on a great team doesn't earn you a place either. Pacheco is about a decade away from even being talked about, who knows how he turns out.

I’m saying your logic that players from teams that didn’t go far in the playoffs not being RoH-worthy is bunk.

.. But you think Jamaal Charles, our franchise’s all-time leading rusher, doesn’t deserve the RoH so this debate is probably not worth my time.

Mahomes
Andy
Kelce
Donovan
Jones
Veach
Butker
Clark (obviously)

Those guys are locks. Spags should be a lock but I’m not sure he is. Still think it’s more likely than not he gets in.

McDuffie is a young guy that I think will get in unless he has a bad injury (knocks on wood).

This is how I feel too. It seemed he quit on the team after he was treated fairly by the Chiefs. Now there could be another side to the story we don't know. He and Justin Houston seemed to have turned on the front office.

Can someone tell me why Norma Hunt should be in the ring of honor?

Maybe this is my ignorance talking, but she was the wife of the founder. And it's not like she drove Lamar - that guy was a wildcatter through and through. Was she instrumental in the history of the Chiefs in some way?

I don't get that at all. Should we put Lamar's brothers up there? Is Tavia Hunt gonna be in the RoH someday?

I'm open to be convinced here - was she from KC and that's why Lamar brought the team here? Was Lamar looking to sell and her influence and love of the SB or whatever instrumental in him retaining ownership?
