I have eaten the real deal working nearby Cincinnati. I was able to finish and it was just ok but figured I would probably never be back that way again.

I have since had Dixons Spaghetti Chili in Independence and it was much better than skyline it wasn't funny.

PS It was a lunch special. I would take their tacos on Tuesday or plain old Dixons Chilli with beans any day hold the pasta.

As for Brown I am happy he is gone I really didn't like him at LT. Looking forward seeing what Taylor gives us.

OBJ is the Bagels problem now we all should move on. Some of you act as though you care.

You sure 'bout that?

I think that's referring to pass rush win rate, not pressures.

I know pass rush win rate is a straight up measurement of how often you hold your block longer/shorter than 2.5 seconds. But I've seen pressures recorded on screen passes before and it's nonsense like that which has me putting very little value on pressures either given up or accrued.

They are, as I understand them, EXTREMELY context specific.

Maybe I do have it backwards and that's why everybody is confused.

One is time and one is distance. Pressure is the defender getting within 2 yards of the QB, at any time, while the ball is still in his hands.

The point still stands though. Joe getting the ball out faster than Mahomes isn't going to make a difference when a DE comes screaming across OBJ's face and right into the QB. The ONLY thing that saved Mahomes was his scrambling ability.

I know they were basically looking for a replacement for Williams and OBJ certainly does that but they're acting like he's an All-Pro. In fact, I've seen some of them say he is a 4-time All-Pro because they don't know the difference between the AP team and the ****ing Pro Bowl.

I think part of the reason Zac likes the potential of OBJ is that Joe doesn't take deep drops like Pat, so OBJ won't have to try and keep pace with speed rushers deep around the corner, as he had to in KC. His drops will be significantly shorter (Joe mostly does 3-step drops, according to rfaulk), giving OBJ a better chance to make his blocks. just a theory.

Dude gets beat across his face on the regular. That's going to get Burrow killed. I have no doubt he can hold the arc because of the way the Cinci offense is run (and yes, they run a lot of 3-step drops but they also run quite a bit of 5-step and even some 7. Taylor showed a willingness to change things up last year, though, so a trend towards even more quick passing is probable). He'll be better in Cinci than he was here but "better than bad does not equal good". Not saying he's bad, just pointing to the relativity of it. He's not a great LT in ANY scheme and they're expecting him to be great.

If Cinci keeps his stance widened like the Chiefs had to do during the season to help his slow ass, he's still going to be suspect to inside moves with a quality pass rusher.

Not arguing. Just saying that between the fact that CIN runs the ball more and the shorter drops overall are just more inside OBJ's wheelhouse athletically speaking. He'll be more inside his own comfort zone. He's still going to get beat, but probably not quite as often, simply because on most snaps he won't be asked to drop as far/fast and he'll be going forward not backward as often. So the math says he should whiff fewer blocks.

Of course, I fully expect the pressures to go down. But there's no way he gives up only 4 sacks next year. I don't see that math at all.

And as we all know, it only takes one bad wiff to get your QB hurt.

Well, they're paying him to be middle of the road. It's much less than what KC was offering last year.

I always thought Brown was a bad fit for this offense, with Mahomes' deep drops and tendency to hold the ball. But where Brown really stunk is how frequently he'd just get blown by at the snap. That's not going to get better in Cinci.

He's an average LT. If he hadn't pulled the bullshit he did last off-season and said shit like he did I'd probably feel a little different about him, but that whole thing and his attitude during and after really soured me on the guy.

Seems like it did Veach, too.

They also don't think much of him. They are paying him "Better than Jonah Williams" money. I think he will do better in Cincinnati though as Burrow doesn't move around like Mahomes. That can mask so of his deficiencies as Brown Jr lacks the physical tools to be an elite LT and no amount of trying will fix that.
