Reidball. It's gotta go.

What is Reidball?

Reidball is a wide receiver by committee offense that Andy Reid employs that often takes the best contributing personnel off the football field so that he can run packages with other receivers with plays specifically designed for them, yet cannot execute, when the same play could be successfully executed had he kept the best personnel on the field.

Reidball has been an unmitigated Alex Smith to Junior Hemingway level shitshow thusfar this season. It has not worked, and it will not work moving forward. Reidball offense has resulted in a league high 26 drops this season, and a complete inability to produce any points offensively in the second halves of football games, often due to better personnel suited for the task standing on the sideline at the snap of the football.

Rashee Rice should not come off the field unless he is exhausted or injured. He is far and away the best receiver on the team, and Andy is content to put this dude on a pitch count. Hardman is not being used at all how he was used last year. What does he have since being picked up again, one jet sweep and a couple little bubble screens?

Reidball also embraces the cowardice of punting from the enemy 40 on 4th and manageable to save the epic field position totals of 17-19 yards, knowing that the offense's best chance at points is staring him dead in the face. Andy field the best defense he's ever seen in KC and still refuses to press the issue offensively.

The Reidball experiment has failed.

Andy Reid needs to scrap his alternate packages designed specifically for players that cannot handle the complexity of catching a football, and move to a traditional best personnel on the field at all times WR 1,2,3,4 approach.

Rice should never come off the field for Moore or MVS. Kelce shouldn't come off the field for Bell. Pacheco shouldn't be off the field for Clyde.

Better personnel decisions must be made, snd someone search Andy's wife's purse for his balls on 4th and manageable.

We have a monstrous God damn defense, and we forget how to manage personnel and call offense in response?

I didn't coin full Reidtard. Someone else did, many others used it during his numerous gaffes during his KC tenure. Well earned, and deserved for every one of his utterly braindead borderline catatonic coaching collapses. Winning a superbowl later, because you got the best player maybe EVER to fall in your lap doesn't erase it, and let's be honest, 2 superbowl wins out of 5 straight AFC title appearances with aforementioned best player maybe ever, ain't ****ing great bruh. But you're still in battered Chiefs fan bruised pussy syndrome and the guy that got it done is now beyond reproach for you, and you can't see objectively that the job he's done with Mahomes thusfar, he's failed to seal the deal more than he's gotten it done, which falls right in line with Andy's full coaching history.

But you're a Reid slobbing fanboy that defends Andy like he's his dying mother beset by evil.

If I called Andy a coward for punting from the 40, it can't just be a situation where I'd like Andy to find his balls and you know, maybe pay attention to the ****ing game we are all seeing, and don't take the ball out of again...the best player maybe EVERs hands to save a measly 20 ****ing yards with a ferocious defense. No it must mean I want him fired.

Christ you're ****ing reidtarded actually. It should be the name of the mental disorder for all of you blind homer fanboys that can't face the fact that not only is Andy not perfect, he's a far cry from it.

He's got a lot of warts. He's always had them. 15 has masked a lot of them.

But hey, go on pounding your chest about the greatest offensive mind in NFL history averaging 5 points in the second half struggling to solve the mystery of 3rd and 1.
This word salad is the post of a man who is just simply posting his fair dispassionate criticism of the football team, while the angry psychotic defenders of the man responsible for the process that has won two Super Bowls tear themselves apart in their own rage.

Mmhmmmmm. Riiiiiiiiiiight.

The moving of the goalposts constantly cracks me up.

Andy Reid won't run the football!

Oh. Well... I mean-

Andy Reid just wants a committee at WR! (a season and a half after Hill got like 150 targets)

Andy Reid's time management is terrible! (dig that 10 point swing in two minutes at the end of the first half)

I mean, come on.

I want every game to be playcalled like the Eagles game. That was as perfect as it gets. We destroyed teams with the run and took deep shots when they opened up.

The players are the problem here not coaching.

It was a pretty perfectly called game.

I don't know if MVS and Watson just choked or what. My suspicion is that's exactly what happened. Just mentally choked in the big moment.

If our WRs could do their most fundamental requirement, which is to catch the ball, Reidball would be undefeated this season......true story

I also think it wasn't an ideal night to catch the ball.

I'm encouraged by a lot of things we saw against the best team in the league.

If the running game and defense are that good come January, we'll be a tough out.

If Reidball means two SuperBowls and three AFC Championships with probably the best record in the NFL over the last 10 years.

Count me in

Well, I hate to swing too far on one game, and I'm a patient man, but I kind of had that game circled as the game where we'd see what was what with the WR corps.

Wasn't good.

We'll be a tough out, you're right. But you can't leave like multiple TD's on the field and expect to win when your WR's just refuse to actually catch the ball.

Without those drops, we hang a 40 burger on Philly.

I had the Eagles game circled as a loss when the schedule came out… Revenge game for them and we were a drop away from winning… Hopefully less drops in the playoffs…
