Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

Let's give it some more time but Geno did look good today.
Still not as bad as the Jags and Eagles D's.

We'll see when Alex gets his crack at the Jills.
I'd be willing to bet there's quite a few Niner's fans that would take Alex right now.

Yes, in my eyes Alex is NOT the QBOTF, But with a new FO coming in, we needed a stop gap. The new FO needed to get this team back on track winning games, at least get to .500

Will Geno become a great QB in the future..remains to be seen.

Personally, I think that Bray is our QBOTF..AND SCREW CHASE DANIELS, and that's coming from a MIZZOU fan.
Right, and I don't think many of the geno fans on this forum wanted him to come in and start right away. We wanted this franchise to invest in a qbotf in what was considered by some the best qb in the draft. Alex smith was already traded for and makes an excellent stop gap. I think all of us here are actively rooting FoR Alex to succeed. Getting bray active in the pre season definitely helped lessen the blow on what happened in the draft, but it's still fun to watch geno show his stuff.

His running game didn't get going until the deep passes forced the defense to concede less men in the box to stop the run.

Geno was dropping bombs out there. You should have seen it.

I mean, he did have well over 300 yards of total offense in both games.

The dude has a killer instinct you don't see in most 2nd round QBs.
16/29, 2TD's, 2 picks, 331 yards. The dude sounds like Tony Romo.

In your impotent rage, you're grasping at straws.... gotta love it.

I don't care if he has a successful career.

It doesn't help the Chiefs, so why should I care?
