Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

How is it hurting the team when they are 2-1?

And I didn't say their defense was hot garbage, but their offense is.

Santonio Holmes is a shell of his former self, and has been worthless until Sunday. He's the only thing they have on offense you could even begin to call decent. You're comparing their WR1 to our WR2.

To think he wouldn't be winning games here with a better defense and more talent on offense is comical - he's doing it with way less in NY.

I didnt say that. I was responding to a post that said he would be blowing teams out.

And in what league is a 1/2 TD INT ratio and a 61 rating good?

I am honestly being trying to be unbiased AT THIS TIME. A lot of times Im just giving Geno baters shit, but pretending like we would be 3-0 and blowing teams out when the guy has turned the ball over as many times as he has with the game on the line is down right LAUGHABLE.

What world are you living in?...fkn delusional.

He also threw picks that hurt the team VS Tampa but got the W because of a penalty.

And BTW Santonio Holmes is better than Avery, who has been our top weapon. Their line has played better, and their D is FAR from hot garbage
He is a damn rookie thats started 3 games.

All you want to see from a rookie is him flash the ability to play at a very high level and for him to be coachable.

Especially with a coach like Andy Reid.

THEY LOST THE GAME.

He threw 3 4th qtr picks, and you just insinuated that it didnt hurt the team.

Yeah, Im either arguing with someone with 47 chromosomes or someone who is completely and utterly blinded by biased and the need to be right about this guy.

Im wasting my time, and this conversation is over.

Yet said coach didn't want him. That's what I dont understand and what makes me think those "out of proportion" reports about how he was in meetings were a little truer than we thought.

Your exact words:

Quote:
doesnt support the argument that he would be winning games here.
And you're moving the goalposts.

I've been told all day that stats don't matter - only wins matter.

Well, with all these so-called crucial, game on the line mistakes, the Jets are 2-1. Without the benefit of having any talent on offense.

Again, if he's 2-1 with nothing around him on offense, why is it crazy to think he'd be at least 2-1 if not 3-0 with Charles, Bowe and Avery at his disposal?

And a defense that has allowed 11 points a game?

Christ, you could put damn near any starting QB in the league in that spot and they'd be at least 2-1 if not 3-0.

The defense and kicking game alone is scoring 10 points a game for us.

I completely agree with him being a rookie and making rookie mistakes and said so, and thats actually part of the reason why I said we wouldnt be 3-0 if he played like he did in week two in any of our games. Much less blowing people out.

He was under 50% passing fort what 140 yards or something? threw 3 picks in the 4th. 2 of them not under duress, and right into the defenders bread basket and according to OTWP that didnt hurt the team. Lunacy.

He lost ONE ****ing game. Holy Christ.

You're acting as if he's costing his team every week, when he's clearly not.

Again, your words - "he wouldn't be winning GAMESSSSSSS here"

Games. ****ing plural. As in "more than one."

He's doing it now. He'd certainly do it here with way more help.

Is it against the rules to bring up the fact that the jets haven't really plate a murders row of teams either? I mean, couldn't you say that the jets defense is keeping them in games?

Their offense has scored 18,10, and 27.

Actually, you said:

Apparently, a 61 rating and a 1:2 ratio DOES win games, because they are 2-1.

FWIW, KC has the 2nd ranked defense.

It was later when you backtracked and cherry picked Week 2 specifically, yet continued to argue the point that they are winning games.

They made their minds up on trading for Alex Smith well before the draft process. It was reported that we had a deal in place for Alex 2 days before the scouting combine.

There is no way they did their homework on Geno by then.

Once you give up that much to get "your quarterback" it's hard to justify coming back and spending a first on another one. Eric Fisher/Luke Joeckel were obviously in their plan there. Even Eric Winston commented on that being the plan after his release.

I think that if Alex weren't available, they may have taken Geno with one of their first two picks.

You really want to go down this road?

What exactly is our defense doing?

Our defense and kicker are responsible for 40% of our scoring, FFS.
