Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

reading through Smith's statistics is a form of fan rape

he's throwing only the safest, easiest passes in the nfl, and most of them to a RB...and he STILL sucks

his degree of difficulty is 0, and he is failing

Keep him as QB coach. He's smart, but too smart to play. Over thinks everything. He could be beneficial in training and taming a gunslinger.

Emperor Sweets shall have pity on Axl today.

The defense IS doing the heavy lifting... but the offense isn't hurting the D, and is even helping with a drive here and there to add to the scoreboard. And that's not just Jamaal Charles doing this. It is the QB that is still throwing some passes... checking pre-snap defenses and putting JC into good run situations... taking care of the ball... and even making plays with his legs.

It's ugly... the output is not what any of us want. But let's not act like our offense is turning the ball over and completely useless.
That is pretty much exactly how the Niners got to the NFCCG in 2011. Like you said, ugly, but it works, and the offense did make progress in 2011 and 2012.

True

But he is one of the few that gets the blame when issues happen.

The fact is that Alex smith has been horrible the last two weeks. He has to be better but that can be said about the rest of the offense to. To ignore those and just talk about Smith is doing just what you claim people who are pointing out the issues are making excuses

This is not a team with a QB problem this is a team with an offense problem that's QB,WR,O line They all get the blame not just Alex.

Smith haters logic

Talk about one guys mistakes is fair talk about any of the other 10 guys mistakes is just making excuses SMH

The "excuse maker" can at least say Smith has been horrible the last 2 weeks and has to get better.

Smith hasn't put the O line or the WRs in a good spot and the other way around

And I'll again say you would've ran Trent Green out of town his first year in KC was horrible

Green was injured (knee wasn't 100 percent), playing with the worst WR corps ever, and a shit defense.

Awful comparison.

You should strongly consider removing Alice's balls from your tonsils. The only reason he had a respectable QB rating was because Harbaugh neutered him down to about 20-25 attempts a game. Now that he is being asked to do what he was asked to do pre Harbaugh same old shit. Alice is as Alice ever was.
