Incognito is a colossal douchebag, but Martin's PTSD claims are just screaming "blatant cash grab," IMO.

Where is this cash coming from? He has a contract with the Miami Dolphins. He wasn't cut or waived.

Why would he need to fake PTSD? If he didn't want to play but wanted to continue earning his contract as a backup, all he needed to do is allow a few pass rushers to sack his QB at a critical juncture.

Martin's parents are lawyers. He can sue the Dolphins over this and get as much as $17 million in damages under Florida law. This could very well be him setting up a sob story for the courtroom.

But he's not a productive LT. And it may have become clear to him after this dismal season and subsequent benching, that he never will be.

But, he'd still earn a million dollar a year salary for being a capable backup AND he has a degree from Stanford. He's not exactly facing a homeless situation.

It's always ironic to me that people without "money" always claim money as a motivating factor in cases like these.

He's overplaying it with this PTSD, he's had his lawyers on this from the start, he has yet to talk about it and it's not like we haven't seen more ridiculous lawsuits before.

So it can't be ruled out.

For all we know, maybe he doesn't want to play football anymore. It's not that hard to believe. We'll find out soon enough.
