Think about it: They solved the most famous murder on the planet and apprehended their man in less then three hours...only to let him get killed before he could tell us the truth. That is epic achievement and failure all on the same play.

Well, you didn't see the President's head actually get blown off on TV that day. It wasn't ever seen until the Zapruder film went public many years later. That is why the film was so shocking. The world had never seen the actual head shot footage publicly before then.

I remember seeing him slump over when he got hit. Found out later it was a throat then head shot.

I was in 6th grade at Avondale elementary school in Avondale Arizona - directly next to GoodYear Arizona. My Old man was a Major at Luke Air Force Base. November 22 was probably the most surreal day in my life.

When the news came that JFK had been shot - they hustled all the kids outside for a quick recess - while the teachers got themselves "together". So there we are, all these kids scared and crying - remember, we practiced nuclear attacks in those days, and we didn't know what the hell was going on.

All of a sudden, out of the Good Year plant about 500 yards from us - the biggest damned zeppelin you ever saw starts rising over the horizon. Hell, most of us had never even see a zeppelin before. The damned thing lifts up and starts toward us. So here you are…being told that the "Russians had shot Kennedy" and we're mainly kids from military families and then this big assed zeppelin lifts off and heads right for us.

Hell, this was the kind of crap that "The Twighlight Zone" made episodes of…..
