The Saturday after. Buy the Turkey on Friday and brine that sumbich till Saturday. On Friday afternoon the thawed turkey goes down to .10 - .20 a pound from 3.00 - 4.00 a pound and all the sides go on clearance as well. Same exact meal, same exact family just $100 cheaper.

Uh, my local grocery store is running specials on week on all things Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure all stores do this.

Referring to turkeys and hams, this is actually the reverse. They are always cheapest this time of year prior to the Thanksgiving and to a lesser extent on other holidays.

3-4 dollars a pound? Ours was .59/lb about 3 days ago.

Are you sure that wasn't peacock or ostrich you were buying for $3 to $4 per pound?
