You have to give Succop a pass on that miss. The Chargers had more men on his left side than we could block. He had to see that free man coming out of the corner of his eye which caused him to not be able to fully follow through toward the center of the goal posts. If the refs did their job and threw the penalty flag we would have had another try from 36 yards. I can't blame Succop for flinching in that situation and I don't have any worries about him in the playoffs. Succop won't be a goat and he has proven to be a reliable kicker.
