Kendrick Lewis needs to go. Now. Don't board the flight home, KL. Head directly to Oakland; do not pass Go.

This secondary as a whole needs some serious work. You'd think with Berry, Flowers, and Cooper who is just a rookie and looked very promising a lot throughout the year, that we'd be in great shape. I just don't get it. This defense has too many good players to suck this bad in this type of game. I don't get it. We have Poe, Hali, Houston, DJ, Berry, Flowers, and solid role guys like Jackson and Devito. And they blow a 38-10 lead in the 2nd half....what gives?

Lewis.

Seriously though... sometimes it just comes down to rushing the passer. Even if you have Pro Bowl DBs everywhere... they can't do squat in today's NFL. They have to cover better than we did today, for sure... but it's quickly becoming a pitch and catch game where you have to try to rush the QB before he can get rid of it. The Giants had a very average set of DBs and won two Super Bowls because their pass rush was great.

Yeah I hear ya. But that's the thing - our pass rush was superb for the majority of our games this season. Obviously it declined as the season wore on, and especially when we lost Justin Houston. But with Hali and Houston on the outside, Poe demanding double teams in the middle, Derrick Johnson occasionally getting some nice blitzes, Eric Berry occasionally getting some nice blitzes - I just don't understand how our pass rush could be completely neutralized like that. I know for a fact the Colts got away with a ton of holdings, as did we. The league as a whole just doesn't like to call holding anymore it seems.
