Exactly. If you can exploit the inadequacy of the officials, I don't see what's wrong with doing everything in your power to do it.

I do wish the rules would change though... in the NHL, flopping can be called, but the original penalty is always called, too. If it's obvious enough, just call the flopping. In basketball, refs simply shouldn't call that crap.

Of course when he does it I don't like it, being a KU fan, because it hurts my team. But it's definately a skill to have.

There's a difference between drawing a foul (ie you're legitimately fouled) and trying to convince the refs that you were fouled when you weren't.

For crying out loud, Smart GRABBED HIS FACE as if he'd been hit by Mike Tyson.

That's a bitch move. Can't respect that.

Then I expect you don't like it when a KU player drives to the basket, gets stripped, but throws his hands up trying to draw a foul call?

That's ****ing nonsense. Just mind boggling nonsense. AND THEN that one who sucks the penis flops without any contact at all and it is a flagrant one? ****. That. Bullshit.

That being said, I fully acknowledge we got a LOT better calls than they did in the first half.

Man, I don't remember OSU being suck ****ing dirty flopping trash talking ****s. I don't think Smart used to flop so much, not sure what his deal was today, but **** it was effective. He got a shitload of them. And **** all those bitches that want to start fights. I don't want to see that shit. That's where I have to give Smart credit. He was pulling all his guys out of being ****ing ****heads, and it wasn't enough. I didn't hate OSU before. **** those bitches today.

And seriously, why would you pick a fight with Traylor? That dude is a ****ing beast physically. He'd eat everyone's soul on that court.
I actually think all of the technicals on KU were pretty questionable, as was the second one on Brown. Traylor literally did nothing to deserve his (other than getting yelled at by Brown), Selden barely grazed a flopping Smart (have no idea how the refs didn't notice that or why Greg Anthony didn't call him out for flopping on the broadcast), and Embiid's was the result of a reflex action after getting hit in the face himself.

We got the benefit of the calls overall, I'd say, but the last 2 Ts really did change the momentum of the game.

Until they do, though, I'm not going to blame anybody for trying to exploit them. It helps their team to do so.

Sometimes your hands continue to go up when the ball is stripped because of momentum.

I also don't really have a problem with selling a legitimate foul call (like exaggerating a motion when you actually WERE fouled to draw the attention of the official).

If they're straight up acting? No, I don't like it. Luckily, we don't see much of that out of the Crimson and Blue.

It's obviously intentional, so to say it's the ref's fault and not the fault of the player is absurd. It's one thing to get a player in the air and draw a foul (which IMO is really annoying when the shooter is obviously initiating contact by jumping into the defender) or drive to the basket on someone who has 4 fouls or whatever, but there is no skill with flopping or crying to the refs.

Selling a call is cheating though, right? If there is a legitimate foul, no need to sell it.

You know all the calls at the basket that Smart wasn't getting today? He's going to get them. And more.

We're going to have to stay focused for the full 40 to stay in it.
